babies scare me. actually i don't really mind them all that much, they're cute to play with, tickle etc. but they're so small and delicate and my greatest fear is that i'll drop them or by merely holding them i'll hurt them in some way. anyway, i held a cute little baby boy yesterday and that was only after the mother asked me if i wanted to hold him, then coaxed me into doing it and convinced me that i needed to practice.
babies = scary.
but his tiny little feet were so cute!!!! awww cute.
i can't believe it's Christmas this WEEK! how exciting. this year i have decided not to cook as the kitchen it ridiculous and also because it'll be just for two.. i rather spend the day drunk and chilling by the pool rather than drunk and trying to clean up the mess. So, Christmas Eve dinner will be had at Garibaldi and on Christmas day we shall feast upon cheeses and pates and rillette whilst downing only the finest beers and champagnes. Boxing day will be spent nursing hangovers and packing for the seven days to follow in Hong Kong.
The most fabulous 7-Eleven store opened right downstairs at the base of our apartment block this weekend. I think it is probably my new favourite store in Singapore. It's all shiny and new, and when I walked in on Saturday midnight i was actually greeted by a friendly "Hello, Welcome!" like as if it was the first ever 7-Eleven to open up in the whole of Asia. Not only is it quite large and spacious and stocks all the random convenient items, this store has a walk in beer fridge, which ultimately won Dugy over in an instant. It's excellent and shall gain much business from all hours of the day from us.
We've also become quite fond of ordering home delivery shepherd's pie which comes in a big tray and tastes AWESOME.
As you can tell, I'm starting to sway towards the life of instant and convenience.
much love! xox
My life as it is now in Singapore.
It can be quiet, it can be noisy. It can be boring, it can be full of excitement.
It is always hot.
